FAQ
What is Darkvision?
A trait many races share: you can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light (in shades of gray).
Do I have to pick a subrace?
If your race has subraces, yes — in 5e (2014 rules) a dwarf is always a Hill Dwarf, Mountain Dwarf or another subrace your table allows. The SRD includes one subrace per race that has them.
Where does the data come from?
The D&D 5e API (dnd5eapi.co), based on the SRD. Dungeons & Dragons is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast; this tool isn't affiliated with them.
