How to use
- Enter the diameter in blocks (odd numbers give a single center block; even numbers a 2×2 center).
- Choose Outline for walls and towers, or Filled for floors and lids.
- Build row by row from the blueprint — each red square is one block. The block count is shown underneath.
About this tool
Minecraft has no circles — only squares — so every "circle" is a pixel approximation: the set of blocks whose centers fall inside the true circle. Getting that approximation symmetrical by eye is hard, which is why builders use a generator for towers, lighthouses, domes, wizard hats and circular farms.
Rule of thumb: odd diameters (7, 9, 17…) have a single center column, which makes them easier to align on a build; even diameters center on a 2×2. The outline mode gives you the ring only — that's your wall footprint — while filled mode is for floors and ceilings.
For a sphere or dome, generate one circle per layer: each layer's diameter follows the circle formula vertically. Generate the largest circle for the equator and progressively smaller ones as you move up.
FAQ
Why does my circle look like an octagon?
Small diameters can't hide the square grid — under about 9 blocks every pixel circle looks angular. Bigger circles read rounder.
Odd or even diameter — which should I pick?
Odd if you want a true center block (easiest to align with a beacon, fountain or door). Even if the build needs to straddle a 2-block axis.
How do I make a dome from this?
Treat the dome as horizontal slices: the bottom slice is your full-diameter circle, and each slice above uses the next smaller circle. Generate each diameter here and stack them.
Does this match other circle generators?
Minor edge-block differences between generators are normal — there are several valid ways to rasterize a circle. Any symmetric result works in game.
