Eco discipline 101
Buy together or save together. Three rifles and two pistols is the worst of both worlds — you spend most of a full buy's money for a fraction of its firepower, and the two saving players hand over their cash advantage anyway. If the team can't all reach the full-buy line, the usual right answer is a coordinated eco so everyone crosses it next round.
The half-buy trap. A lone Spectre or Deagle force feels proactive, but if it loses you're often stuck under the buy line for two more rounds. Before forcing, check the projection above: if a clean save guarantees a full buy next round, that is usually worth more than a coin-flip force now.
Loss bonus is a resource. In Valorant a third straight loss pays 2,900 — add a plant or a kill or two and even a lost round can bank you into a buy. In CS2 the counter climbs to $3,400 and a win only ticks it down by one, so a team that just broke a long losing streak is usually still rich enough to re-buy. Count the enemy's economy too: if they just ate two losses, expect a desperate force.
When forcing is right. Match point against you, breaking an enemy bonus round before they snowball, or when your loss bonus is already maxed and a save gains you little. Force with a plan — stack a site, trade kills, and try to steal their rifles.
How it works
- The verdict comes from the same thresholds as the Buy/Save planner in the Lotamyst desktop overlay: Valorant — full buy at 3,900+, half buy at 2,400+, light buy at 800+; CS2 — full buy at $4,700+, force at $2,900+, eco at $1,000+. Below those, save.
- Loss streak sets your next loss bonus: Valorant 1,900 / 2,400 / 2,900; CS2 $1,400–$3,400 in $500 steps (and a CS2 win only reduces the counter by one).
- Rounds 1 and 13 are treated as pistol rounds, the round right after a won pistol is flagged as a possible bonus round (the enemy is usually broke), and rounds 25+ get overtime notes.
- The projection assumes you spend roughly the recommended amount this round, then adds the base win reward or your loss bonus — kills, plants and defuses only push it higher.
- Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Prices current as of 2026 — Riot and Valve occasionally rebalance, so treat edge cases with judgement.
